this isn’t even that serious but it pisses me off and i just want to dump these thoughts somewhere.
for the last few years i have watched all my hobbies and interests just get fucking tanked by scalpers. concerts and shows are hitting price points that effectively exclude the lower class, and are such ass for the middle class. im seeing the same artists, go to the same venues, and tickets are soooo expensive compared to 2019 during pre and general sale. a popular artist at that? enjoy your 300 dollar nosebleed ticket you fucking pleb. on top of that, im tired of seeing tickets for bands get bought up and immediately relisted for 3x. not everyone has disposable income like that to dump into this shit.

мені вже кілька років як спостерігаю, як усі мої хобі та інтереси просто знищуються перекупниками. концерти та виступи досягають цінових рівнів, через які effectively виключається нижчий клас, і такі вони для середнього класу. бачу тих же виконавців, ті самі майданчики, а квитки настільки дорогі порівняно з 2019 роком під попередній та загальний продаж. популярний артист, так? насолоджуйся своїм квитком за 300 доларів в останній ряд, ти, чорної студенте-плебей. до того ж мені набридло бачити, як квитки на гурти купують і одразу перепродають за тричі ціну. не кожен має вільний дохід, щоб вкидати у це все.

ive been collecting pokemon cards and games my entire life, never once resold them. im proud of my collection and i look forward to passing it along to nephews and nieces one day. ive grown up with pokemon and it brings me joy. now? good luck finding anything at msrp unless you wanna beef with a grown ass neckbeard at a fucking vending machine. 2x-3x markup for anything that isn’t direct from the distributor, and when it does restock it all sells out so fast because of the bot market. magic the gathering is also getting ridiculous with their FOMO releases and scalping bullshit. if you can’t purchase something in a 30 minute window you’re basically not getting it unless you have $$$$.

я протягом усього життя збираю карти покемонів та ігри, ніколи їх не продавав. пишаюся своєю колекцією і з нетерпінням чекаю передати її племінникам та племінницям колись. я виріс із покемоном, і це приносить мені радість. тепер? удачі з пошуком чого-небудь за MSRP, якщо не хочеш сваритися з дорослим чоловіком із шиєю, що стоїть біля чортового торгового автомату. 2x-3x націнка на будь-що, крім прямого від дистриб’ютора, і коли знову з’являються в наявності, все розкуповується так швидко через ринок ботів. Magic: The Gathering також стає абсурдним зі своїми релізами з FOMO та перекупкою. якщо ти не можеш купити щось протягом 30 хвилин, ти фактично не отримаєш цього, якщо тільки не маєш грошей.

vinyl records, don’t even get me started. ive been collecting for over a decade, and now? just feels like a rich man’s game. you’re telling me an artist can make 15 variants of the same shit and i still can’t get my hands on one without paying double? what the fuck is that?

вінілові платівки, навіть не починай. збираю понад десять років, і тепер? це просто нагадує гру багатіїв. ти кажеш мені, що артист може зробити 15 варіантів однієї й тієї ж бані, а я все одно не можу взяти одну без оплати вдвічі? що за фігня?

i just want to live my little life and work my fucking job and buy myself a nice treat everyone once in a while without having to make the decision of “well if i buy this record ill have to stretch my gas tank another X days…” fuck sake dude.

я просто хочу жити своїм маленьким життям, працювати на своїй роботі і час від часу купувати собі солодке без необхідності обирати між “якщо куплю цей реліз, доведеться тягнути своє паливо ще на X днів…” чорт візьми, друже.
